This song was written after I saw Judika’s performance, so that this song fit in his voice. But after I thought more, it also fit in another finalists. And I’m thinking about submitting this to the stakeholder of RCTI - Indonesian Idol.

In this song Dian imagined that he sang a farewell song for his girlfriend in purpose of coming back soon. The arrangement was a lot more jazzy. The instruments was so programmable. "That was the trend in the era", Dian said, "it was proved by the achievement of the song as a big hits". This song was also sung by Melly Goeslaw on Dian’s concert "Fifth Concert of ClasMild I Like Monday Today’s Sensation" at New Hardrock Cafe Jakarta last year with a strange arrangement. This song has a good chord progression of jazz. Dian’s song was also so smooth that the song fit on him. And the volume of organ was still so loud and low that it shows characteristic of songs on that era.

Talking about Dian Pramana Poetra, I just knew from Deddy’s talking on Trijaya FM radio that the duo 2D (Dian Pramana Poetra & Deddy Dhukun) was very good musicians in their era. Deddy told the listener that at the early of 90’s they gave partiture to the Sydney Philharmonic Orchestra for his performance abroad. Surprisingly, until the concert was ready to perform, the orchestra still wasn’t ready to collaborate with 2D due to the difficult partiture that Dian gave to them. Due to their inability, Dian & Deddy did the performance by their own instrument (guitar), without the orchestra. What a great musician they are!

Yesterday it’s my first IELTS Prep session. It’s so peaceful, because the schedule of the day was so dense. I used to answer “Gebang” when somebody ask me where I live. I used to answer “Dhany” when somebody ask me what my name is. Now it’s different. That answer was not good in interview. The teacher also gave us lotsa challenge. He always made our heart beat faster and our adrenalin functionated well enough. He always made so bad assumption about IELTS that the students always try to learn hard.

And surprisingly I found that Mrs Umi who was used to being my MKU English teacher in ITS (who gave me AB), also joined the class. Now she’s my classmate!! She wanted to follow a scholarship program too. I also met a lot of younger people whose English fluency was much better than me. So it can motivate me to learn more.

I think it’s gonna rain, so I have to go back to my room.

This song was one of 7 demo tracks I’d sent to Tompi, vocalist of the well-known Bali Lounge, who was searching for matter for his solo album. One morning, I asked by his producer, Seno M. Hardjo, to send my songs to him soon while I just had 2 songs recorded at that time. I promised to him to send my demo CD including 7 new songs a week after the call. Then I chose songs and I collected four most recent songs of mine and accomplished the recording. When I was finishing my last song I just realized that I need one more song to be 7 and I found "Maafkan" partiture which I’d written when I’m being an apprentice (Kerja Praktek) in Bandung. I asked Tia to sing this song. I thought this song was just a leftover for me, so I didn’t do the arrangement seriously and perfectly. After I’ve sent my songs, I ask my friends to choose the best songs. Surprisingly, almost all of my friends chose this song as the best of other songs because it’s so commercial. What’s the matter with this song?
