I would like to let you know about my happy moment on the graduation day, 10th September 2005. First, the graduates were obliged to come to Graha Auditorium at 7, but I came at 8 and it’s OK, LOL. What I awfully liked in Graha is that my friends of ITS choir, located on a corner of Graha, bestow me a bunch of rose in the downstage after I handclasped the rector on the stage. What a benevolent family we are.
Next, I went to my beloved campuss and here, I would like to show gratitude to my friends on Information System ITS on account of such a wonderful welcome for me as one of the first graduates of this department. They greeted me admirably. Then whilst I was walking upstair, went toward the welcome room, the fresh students sang me a brand new song. Then in the junction on the road to the welcome room, the whole personnel of the brotherhood of 2003 suddenly came and greet us with handshakes. Moreover, what make me so surprised was the presence of the lecturers of this delightful department I’ve ever enrolled in. Mainly, my highly regarded supervisor, Mr. Rully, was also there. At that time, I realized that my four-year tertiary study was over. And then I sobbed out of my control. Afterward, I stepped in the welcome room and another personnel of the committee gave me a medium-sized beautiful mug in which my name written and caricature sketched. Subsequently they asked me to autograph in a canvas, just like another graduates, and we were told to sit in the graduates seats, waiting for the party to start on.
The brotherhood of 2004 performed, truly I was surprised with Dhany Yudha and Ariwa for playing guitar well, some songs remarkably, either did the brotherhood of 2003. The 2003 put on the songs in an “out of the blue” formation of member and music accompanying arrangement I’ve never imagined. Regrettably, the 2002 didn’t came in a great number, so they didn’t give any musical performance, yet I appreciated your unforgettably mug.
Subsequently, it was 2001’s show time. I carried the synthesizer keyboard on, and called Arin to sing “Seandainya Selalu Satu” or “If We Could Have Always Been Together”, a sort of festival, orchestrated song, originally songwritten by Elfa Secioria and sang by Harvey who won the world singing contest by performing this song, but in this occasion it was accompanied with a single, accoustic piano playing. Then I told Mbok Yah to sing a song songwritten by me, performed only for my beloved friends in this college ground, entitled “Perpisahan Ini”. Next, we give another surprise to the audiences by towing Soni, to sing, and Yudi, to play guitar, ahead to have some gigs with us. We played “Kangen”, originated by Dewa 19, as well as “Dari Hati”, genuinely sung by Club Eighties. And we end our performance by pulling ahead the whole graduates to sing together on “Gurulah Pelita” or whatever a 10 years ago childhood song was entitled. And then I found Icha weeped a bucket of tear, in the same way as Beny’s shedding tear in his preceding greeting speech.
And finally it is ended by photographing us together. Then I came to my hometown along with my parents happily though I feel so bushed and sleepy.
Perpisahan Ini (for the graduation party 2005)
Song/words : Dhany Saputra
Perpisahan ini bukan berarti tak lagi bersatu
Jangan kau salah menduga
Jalan masih panjang, masih banyak rintang yang dihadapi
Dan kita harus lalui ini tanpa ragu lagi
Reff :
Kawan-kawanku kita berpisah dulu
Masih ada waktu untuk kita bercanda lagi dan berkumpul bersama
Kawan-kawanku sampai jumpa lagi
S’moga bahagia s’lalu ada di antara kita semua
